A Tale of Two Drummers, by Noah Gorman

from $10.00

A theatrical work for cajon and djembe, A Tale of Two Drummers was written from one bass drummer to another as a fun hand drum duet. Leading with an improvised cajon solo, the djembefola enters and a non-verbal interaction occurs between the players. The cajon player gives the djembefola a moment in the spotlight. The players agree to share the stage and the main body of the work begins with a primary theme and splits galore, going back and forth between the main theme and improvised eight measure sections. The theme returns once more before a metric accelerando rockets into an epic finish.
